AHS Networking - Rebuilding Africa charity dinner

AHS is taking networking to a new level through forging ties across the whole spectrum of human activities. It is now customary for the forum to exceed expectations in promoting connections and opening doors for many people to achieve their dreams. Each event is tailored to respond to the need to develop strategies that address Africa's current limitations, which are located in the failure of its citizens to organize themselves and be bound by common values.
On this networking event, the sentiment ran like a unifying thread among the revelers. If there was going to be any change in Africa it could only start with a change in our attitude and how we chose to relate to our past. Africa had allocated enough time to acting victim. Continuing with our self-defeating divisive tendencies would not only delay the recovery of the continent, but would also be a self-inflicting blow to our prospects.
As African citizens, we were called upon to go and learn from the ants. Ants have a strange sense of teamwork and a keen attention to the future.
We were also challenged to improve on how the Israelites performed when they were led through the wilderness. Their journey took longer than what it would have taken an average walk through the same path. If we do not employ the urgency called of us in arresting the degradation in our continent, we should have the heart to loose sleep, overcome by a sense of guilty. Nonetheless, if we have to take any longer on the journey to the Promised Land, let us use the time to burn and dispel our grasshopper mentality and feeling of unworthiness, lest we spend the rest of our waking lives infuriated by the injustices we suffered on the hands of our Pharaohs. Bygones should become bygones.
There was a business category in the interactions also. For those who understand the value of beneficial relationships, each contact represents potential. The more often people shared ideas and organized themselves, the more they created opportunities. Instead of being lone rangers on solo journeys, mutual partnerships in business development represent a good strategy. Combining resources and skills provides leverage for businesses to accomplish bigger goals and create more wealth. The future of business growth was indicated as strong business-to-business synergies, together with business partnerships.
The other beauty of the networks is the attraction of a wide range of professionals and other community leaders. Routinely, each function is attracting a strong contingent of decision makers and opinion leaders. Their priceless contributions stand out as pearls of wisdom that have impacted on those who are open to experience.
How about a regular network slot this Thursday, the next Thursday and every other Thursday at Club Rehoboth down Witkopen road? For merely being an AHS member, the club management assured each member of free entry. The Thursday slot provides a platform to feature professions, initiatives and projects in an attempt to get the support of other members. The club is also host to presentations from embassies as they provide policy directions from their home countries.
